those were cheapest i could find and they looks the best. not to big but big enough, and the fold up differently so they look good on the bike when not in use
dig the pipes you have on there, they look cool. got a picture of the whole bike?

Another probably silly question. I'm looking to get the lady some passenger floorboards, preferably of the HD variety. The pipes that I have are aftermarket and the kit on HD.com (http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...-07-5039907--1) is showing that the right side has to connect to the muffler bracket which is no longer present. Anybody have any clues on what I should buy or advice on fitment?
So just cut your passenger peg mount that you currently have to 1-5/8" to be used as a spacer and walah. You could just use a shorter bolt and mount the floorboard without it too, but probably won't be symmetrical with the other side. Here's some pics

The only thing I just thought of though is there is a pin that goes into a hole below the bolt location that keeps the whole floor board mount from being able to spin, which is also only on that exhaust bracket.

That's where I'm running into issues trying to get something going figured out. Thought maybe about using the kit that has bothe brackets identical to the left side.

My lo is going in for the 1000 mile service this week. While its in there I decided to get rid of the VH slip ons and get some VH big radius 2 into 2 pipes installed.Im Prob going to put the slip ons up for sale on here for about $275.If anyone knows anybody interested?.....
i'd go with the smaller boards and above the pipes, less chance of burning the inside of her leg
The pipes that I have won't allow for the inbetween like the stock pipes will. I would have to go above no matter what, issue is that the mounting position is almost dead nuts on the line of the pipes. Might have to fabricate something to make them work, especially considering HD is overpricing the **** out of those mounting kits.
either find some here or ebay. trial an error blow, for as many parts i've put on my bikes, i have others in a box that never made it on. better to take your time with a well thought out plan than to waste money on parts that don't make onto the bike

Started reading this thread from the beginning a few weeks ago when I bought my 2011 Lo. 400ish pages to go, and this forum has to this point cost me several $K. Thanks to all the contributors here, as you've given me many ideas past where I'm at now. Here's my scoot so far in highway and cruise trims...
With the windshield and bags:
I may be cutting down the windshield by 5 inches or so soon. Not decided 100% yet.
For running around town:
This week will be lighting upgrades.
PS - On a side note, I'm actually thinking of leaving my reflectors on to be different. Does that get me kicked out of the cool kids club?
