went from the last page to 1170 last night. I've seen a few on ebay, will pick one up next week but would rather get one from this site like you guys said. Kills me though, everytime I look at the bikes I get more ideas of things to do. I know I wanted to do signal bezels but now thinking of doing LED lights inside them.
was gonna start at the beginning but some of the photo's are now missing.

Post a pic of your bike.
A service manual will be the best investment you could ever make for your bike!
It is the most valuable tool you can have in your shop!
When you buy one, make sure it is an original HD shop manual.
who's lay down plate do you have, wish I could do the signals in the tail light but state law doesn't allow it
just bought two sets of CD signal inserts from two different guys on here for 50 shipped each. every time I turn around I ordering something. its a freakin sickness. when I get those wires figured out i'll be ordering the gas caps. changing the handle bars to sportster tracker's in a few weeks.

My laydown plate holder was custom made for me by Hogrida. He is a member on the forum. He made mine to fit our larger plates. It was made for my Street Bob, but fit the Lo perfectly. You can PM him or contact him through his website:

It's best to lock your wallet and credit cards in a safe place while you're cruising this thread, treat it like it's a bad neighborhood. Way too many good ideas and cool bikes, it can make your head spin.
to late, head is already spinning. I don't want to do to much. I'm glad this bike is blacked out. it's the subtle things. already spent 560 on a new front and back Ultimate seat and put on some mini rear floor boards. bought v&h short shots, arlen ness big sucker, a micro tuner, changing the bars to sportster tracker's, arlen ness grips, different risers for the bars, docking hardware and a backrest, need a luggage rack, now the LED's and gonna do bezels for the signals. want to do the flush mount gas caps in black, but saw a video on youtube last night of one made by Harley that the gauge side lights up in blue, that kit is 203.99..but I gotta have it..ugh!

That's a start, when you're ready for some serious mods let us know LOL
i see a lot of guys with the flush mount gas caps. how difficult is it to remove the fuel gauage side
Actually pretty easy. It literally just kinda sits in there. The hard part is that you have to lift the front of the tank, or back whichever you prefer, and disconnect the plug from under.. then either cut the wires and pull the gauge out, or remove the wires from the plug and pull them through (if you plan on selling or reusing the gauge)
see them all over ebay, i'm sure no one wants the originals to much. someone else can put it back together.lol. i'm gonna wait till i get that one from harley
unless i can ****** a set up on here, like i did with the LED inserts from CD

10" T-Bars from J&P Cycles 136.00 I hate internal wiring bars now. But they look good. So far, T-Bars,Arlenn Ness Grips, Sissy-Bar, Modded the pipes. Next is tank lift, 2 in the front, 1 in the rear, And blacking out more and more as I go.
