Anyone have this tail light on their 2010 Fat Boy Lo? http://www.d2moto.com/p-12438-harley...ake-light.aspx
I don't have my bike here yet, and I just can't go by pics of the stock tail light versus this one. The web site says it fits, but I've heard that before and ran into complications. I also emailed the company to confirm but haven't heard back yet.
I can only assume it's DOT approved...can't see it stated otherwise on the site.
Thanks for any help!

It fits, but the problem that someone had mentioned about it earlier was that in the daylight it's pretty hard to see the lights, especially the turn signals on that unit..
Couple photos I'd like to see. Maybe these things were covered already. Hey, we're pretty much at the 700 page mark.... hard to stay on top of everyone's project.
Deadanimal... will you post photos of your springer seat? I like that and would like to see some close ups and would also like to know what type seat that is.
Captain Morgan.... your license plate. Did you just drill straight through your fender? How did you mount that?
It looks like he has the hogrida.com license plate mount that many of us have and LOVE. It cost around $25, took 5 minutes to install, and looks amazing. I replaced the acorn nuts with some black ones for some added flair, but yes it almost looks like the plate is just bolted to fender. Can't recommend it enough. Least expensive mod to date that made a huge difference.
It mounts in the normal harley 3 hole mount without any further modification, although I put some rubber washers on to keep it from scratching the paint.

Makes sense, thanks. Do you know of a decent substitute, or it's probably the same with them all, eh?

I have the same D2moto light but I don't use the turn signal in it. I have not had any saw they could not see it in day light. I think the next step up is the light from Custom Dynamics. It cost more but not as much as the BAL. I am thinking of upgrading later to the CD or BAL later on. Hope this helps.

Thanks! Yeah, I'll check those out for sure. Why do you want to upgrade? Just not happy with the one you have?
This might be a random question but does any one know if the rear saddle bag guards for springers would work with my cycle visions bagger tail and raod king bags. Would love to get some and powdercoat them black if they would work but something tells me its gonna be a no dice.
