[QUOTE=CaptainMorgan_SOS;9796267]So I finally got her all sorted out and took it out for a ride. The new fork oil seriously helped out the ride and all the extra black parts added AT LEAST 25 hp
Or you can just get a short one without the black braces and have them powder coated or painted. There's a lot more choice if you don't buy the black. I'm running a stock heritage shield 15" and didn't bother blacking out the braces. The bike needs 'some' contrast. If you don't buy black you can also usually score a good deal on ebay.
God my windshield installed this weekend. Went with the HD Nostalgic PN:57141-05 that I found used on this board. Makes a HUGE difference in longer rides. It is a little tall. Right in my line of site. Will probably have it cut down to about nose hight.
Great looking ride! I love the contrast. I feel like our bikes offer so much potential, and potential to screw up, with regards to the multiple layers of grey, silver, black, etc.. I love your balance.

I wondered what you ended up deciding to do after we had that discussion. Get that thing cut down a bit, and I bet there is a good chance that it rarely comes off. I know it loses a bit of "cool" factor with a shield on, but I swear it spoils you. Glad you are happy with your choice.
Couple photos I'd like to see. Maybe these things were covered already. Hey, we're pretty much at the 700 page mark.... hard to stay on top of everyone's project.
Deadanimal... will you post photos of your springer seat? I like that and would like to see some close ups and would also like to know what type seat that is.
Captain Morgan.... your license plate. Did you just drill straight through your fender? How did you mount that?
