Picked my bike up from the dealer today, it was in for 1000 mile service and an oil cooler instalation. Had a chance to check out the aux light bars in person. Ended up bringing home the deluxe version, good call man, I think it looks much cleaner. Now all I have to do is figure out which pieces are going to powder coat.
Hey Fat11lo, do you have ABS on your sled,if so can you post a pic of the oil cooler

My bike does not have ABS, so I was able to go with the center mount oil cooler p/n 26157-07, I believe the side mount cooler p/n 26157-11 is the one for bikes with ABS it says for 11 and up models, and it will still fit if you're using an engine guard.(pg 528 of the wish book) The only thing I dont care for is the chrome cover, so its going to powder coat with the light bar pieces
Gota love the muddy lawn mower in the background...... lol
Hey Sgt Jim did you ever solve the issue with the deluxe tank lift? I am getting ready to order the 2" with the rear lift option.
Yeah, their rear-tank-lift option isn't made for our bikes.. supposedly other bikes have adjustable tabs on the back of the tank or something that allows the tank to be shifted back and forth, but aparently the Lo's don't.. so there's no way to fit the full 1/2" lift in the back without the nose of the seat sticking upwards. I actually cut the 1/2" spacer in half to make it somewhere between 1/4" and 1/3", and that fit.. but for $10, all it is is a spacer and a bolt, and even then, the stock seat bolt is still long enough to secure the tank back down.. just get the front lift and find yourself a few washer or something to stack up in the rear and it'll do the same thing
That damn speedo came out like 2 weeks after I bought mine..I mean, i'm happy with mine (although i wish the LED screen would light up blue rather than orange)..anywho..it seems that every weekend around here it's now raining, and it's winter again. oh, i didn't win the MegaMillions.. so sorry, I can't buy 107" kits for everyone.
I still remember those posts. Here, it seems like the wind likes to gust 50mph on the weekends lately though the temp was 85F today. Tomorrow about 69F with wind gusts around 35mph. Of course, Wednesday it will be around 85F again with 5mph winds while I am at work. Oh well, still beats fighting the snow and rain.

I removed the rear brake pedal lever and there is a bushing in it. Anyone know how to get that bushing out?
I also have the Shift rod off and cannot get the two screws (with ball attached) out of both ends of the rod. Any help with these problems would be appreciated.
Definitely not a mechanic but getting better.
Thanks in advance.
Have been sitting around waiting for my Big Radius 2 into 2, now the are telling me its on back order until mid-may! I am thinking of making a move to the Black BSS, any thoughts on the difference, besides the look? I am already working the S/E Air and Pro Tuner.
Sorry up front for...uh... bringing back an old question: do I have to disassemble and empty the slider tube's guts so that it can be removed from the slider? My intention is to powder coat the lower slider housing only, and since the bike has less than 1000 mi on it, I don't think there is a need for me to peek inside the slider tube or its contents. I need your expert advice badly. Thanks a bunch.
