Welcome home rquirch. Thanks for persevering running the gauntlet of the system and becoming legit! I can understand your situation as I married into a family that made a similar journey 30 years ago.
Gauntlet indeed! it took a lot of effort, time and money but if you are hard working, honest, responsible and abide by the law (except for the the 17'' apes ) i am walking proof that it can be done!.

Rquirch - Congrats brother on what you have accomplished.
This country could use more people like you. I was once engaged to a girl from another country and she said this to me one time; "I hate this god forsaken country"...and she was from South Africa, where life is cheap and very dangerous!!! So I did my best to make her happy (well, to make myself happy) and sent her *** back as fast as possible.
Just got my 2011 Fatboy Lo on Friday. The weather was mid 30's and the roads were dry. I was able to put 23 miles on her. Then it was time to put her away as another 9-12 inch of snow came for the weekend. I won't be home until the end of March or mid April so I hope the weather will be on my side. I can't wait to get her out again.
