Got my horizontal mount. What do you guys like better, nurse or cheerleader? Whoops wrong forum, I meant vertical or horizontal lol.
I personally like the verticle mount, it looks cleaner IMO. What are you gonna do to cover the holes on the fender? And can you even see anything behind you with that mirror down below the bars? It seems to me that your arm would be in the way.
As for my bars, I like how they feel now. I discovered that I can really lean into turns now, definitely better than before with the stock bars. Slow speed maneuvers are still a bit tricky though; something I am going to have to work on.
That's what my friends here are saying too. I figured for $25 it wouldn't hurt to see what the horizontal looks like. I bought some nylon plugs at Ace Hardware for like 62 cents or something that fit in the holes. I had plugs ordered from HD like the ones that come with the turn signal relocation kit and they were like $7 for 2 of them and it took like a week to get in so I said **** it. And yes my arm gets in the way of the mirror and I have to drop my hand for a second to see behind me. It's no big deal really.
I love the way our bikes handle with apes though. I also have a hard time making slow manuevers like a sharp left I just can't do...I'm like Zoolander haha.

Anyone who completely dismantles their sled in their dining room has plenty of ballsies lol. I have that picture on my tool box, so when I think I'm a real mechanic I just look at that and laugh at myself!
No powder coating the tanny cover for me, I'm going open primary this winter.

Thanks man I appreciate those words coming from the guy leading the pack on modding your Lo and winning award after award. Mine are cheap DIY though for something to do while I wait for warm weather to come. I want to do the headlight and bars flat black but I can't even get my damn headlight off...or the console.

Is the speedo something you can install yourself easily? Thanks.
Dude, it was so easy to intall (and therefore remove) that I put a little Loctite on the acorn nut. Only the accorn nut needs a tool to remove, the rest is by hand. Even easier than installing my LED headlight.

What do you mean when you say you can't get the console off? It is just one nut. I've done it twice now and need to do it again one more time...maybe I can help ya.
