Funny, nobody liked it when it was sold. I have the same sled, It's a 13 Anniversary Lo.
That paint job looked better on some models than others, I think when the brass accents were added it really helped that color combo work. I also think gloss black covers worked better than the satin covers that came with the Lo.

They really should have stayed away from the satin entirely on this particular bike. There's too much going on on it. There's the brown paint, black paint, gloss black, red pin striping, flat black, chrome and satin both are all on it. I still need to swap out the primary, timer, and transmission covers along with the push rod covers and rocker boxes.
Still need to get my hands on a piece of the HD bronze collection parts and see how it matches up too. I've had the bike for five years but just keep getting snake bit with other expensive life emergencies.
Maybe one day before all these parts turn into collector's items.

I'm a Brass Collection addict, I've got every piece they make for my bike and even custom-fitting some that they say won't fit. But do be aware -- the Harley pieces can vary wildly in tone; some are nice shiny gold, some are dark gray. The individual piece's finish will vary. If you scrub the pieces with some Barkeeper's Friend you can get them all to the same nice golden hue.

Completely agree with you there, even on the standard Lo they painted the frame flat black then bolted on gloss brackets, combine that with the satin covers and ocasional chrome piece. Makes it hard to keep a consistent theme, only way I see to fix it is to take it down to the bare frame and start over, but that's not gonna happen anytime soon with me.
