Default Drag Bar Question

I have a question for anyone who installed the Wild1 Chubby low profile drag bars themselves. The ones I got are the 4" Rise, 30-˝" wide, 8-˝" center, with a 14-˝" pullback. From what I've seen on here so far it looks like a fairly easy install. A friend came by today and he says I need to disconnect the wiring harnesses (which requires a specific little pick tool that your typical Harbor Freight type store wont have) and buy a new brake line that's about 6 inches longer. I seem to recall several of you saying that with little tugging and fiddling, everything was long enough without replacing any lines. Am I way off base here?

I truly missed having tach after purchased the FB a year and four months ago. Btw, the installation was simple It only took about 15 minutes.

That's looks fantastic. I hadn't ever considered changing mine out but seeing so many nice ones you all have installed has me thinking about it. I'm beginning to understand all of the comments about being prepared to empty my wallet after looking around in here. I'm starting to wonder if I should really be so happy to have found this thread or not.

Here's some pics of the first steps to stretching the 9.5" wide fender. I bought 1 rear fender from ebay and another rear fender from a fellow forum member and chopped them and now I'm cutting, grinding and piecing the 2 together.

I have lots of work left to do as you can see and I'm going to pull the bottom dovetail piece outwords and going to have to put some pie shape pieces in to do it. I still have to tack weld and do lots of tweaking. I expect to be done in a couple months or less, since I can only work on it a couple times a week in the evenings. As I make progress I will post pics.

The seat is a LePera Barebones with Avanti pattern stitching and burnt orange metalflake buttons and matching passenger seat. The helmet is a Bell Drifter Speed Shop model.
