I was out riding yesterday and my throttle cable broke at the induction module. Thought this was odd seeing it's a 2010 Fatboy Lo with only 8200 miles. Questions I have are:
1) Do you need to remove the tank to change the cable (I had just filled up 10 miles prior and don't really want to drain the tank)?
2) Do you usually change both cables or just the broken one?
3) Any tips---is it a pain in the *** or an easy change?
Thanks
You might as well replace them both if you are going to have them apart. You do not need to remove the tank, it is best IMO if you at least undo it as if you are doing bars and slide it back. Take your air cleaner off and the cable ends are right there. If you tie a piece of wire or something as you pull it out, you can then tie it to the new one and pull it back through. Shouldn't take more than a couple hours if you take your time.

Welcome to the forum and Thank You for your service. I hope you make it home safe and whole.

Congratulations on reading the entire thread. Do your self a favor and put a service manual at the top of your list. Then just watch your bank account drain and your credit cards run up. This forum as you can tell will be expensive. LOL
