I will definitely be laying down the license plate. Want to do so much I think I am going to need a second mortgage!

I appreciate the shoutout, but I'm just a baby around here. Of course, I lurked around the thread for months, reading up and getting ideas. Everyone on here is extremely helpful though.

As far as the second mortgage, we can all lament the emptying of our wallets solely because of this forum. I know my wife hates all of you.

Misbehaven I do have ABS on my bike and still didn't need cables. That was something I was worried about and one of the reasons I had the dealer do the work. I really don't want to mess with working on ABS brakes just yet. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on HD's Signature Series seat with backrest. I'm positive it won't win any points in a style contest but hopefully I'll be comfortable. If not I'll have another seat in the classified section. Here's a couple of pics of my bike with 6 inch risers for you, Trenewman

You should have looked at the mustang seats if you wanted a backrest. I sat on one at a fall rally and it was like sitting in your own recliner. Super nice and comfy

Did you make the front turn signal mounts or did you buy a kit somewhere?

Just cancelled the order for Harley's Signature Seat with backrest. I'm more about function then looks but I kept thinking about how that seat was ultimately gonna look on the bike. I ordered a Corbin Gunfighter with backrest instead. It cost a little more so it will probably be the last thing I order for the bike for a long time. I think it will look a lot better and meet my comfort needs. Hopefully it will be here soon.

Concealed carry? Forget about it..not a chance here. Which sucks, because I'd love to mount a holster or something under the gas tank..
I haven't been around the forums in a while (up here when the bike gets put away for the winter, I tend not to come around bike-related sites either)... but I ran across your post. In Vermont guns laws are very lax... concealed carry?? No problem! Permit to buy?? Nope. Go in to the store, pick one out, walk out with it (and ammo) in 15 minutes or so. Vermont has never had a restriction on "constitutional carry" thus the right to carry concealed arms is also sometimes called "Vermont carry".

You could always go with a drivers backrest:

So much for my new seat being here soon. I just got an email from Corbin this morning. They don't have the gunfighter in stock so it looks like I will have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for it to be delivered. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. Captain Morgan, I ordered it with the drivers backrest so hopefully it will be really comfortable. I'm thinking that at the very least it will be a huge improvement over stock. It should actually look pretty good to. Especially compared to how the HD Signature Series seat would have looked.
