Question for all my fellow Lo riders. I am slowly changing my bike from stock to my own. I just used VHT to black out the silver heat shields. It just does't quite match the other heat shields. Anyone have any idea on what I might use to get a closer color match?
Just rolled my 1k I took her in and had everything done but my fluids, which is something me and my dad are going to do... I suppose my question is what would yall recommend? should I run what the dealer would have until a certain mileage, can i go ahead and switch over to AMSOIL/Royal Purple, just curious i had also read a few pages back describing that running different amsoil through the different parts primary/trans ect could be benificial versus using the same oil in all three?

thanks in advance for the input
I use Amsoil 20/50 in engine and primary and their heavy duty gear oil in trans. Won't hurt switching at 1,000 miles. BTW welcome to the Lo side from Wisconsin.
Thank ya Misbehaven, I'm loving the Lo side of life right now, I should be off tomorrow so I'm gonna try to get out for a bit and put some miles on her,
Well my girl and I ended up doing 410 miles on our long weekend, with that, looks like I'm going to need my 15k service real soon and I'll need front and rear tires and possible brakes UGH, most likely going to try American Elite tires, I was going to go with Avon tires but I had a few tell me that the Elite will give me a better ride and longer life since I ride mostly 2 up... Any input???
I'm sure You Guys may have covered this, but I 'm going to ask. Does anyone have a the SESTpro and V&H 2into1 pipes? And may know there AFR numbers, my bike seems to be running a little hot and I am pretty sure it is my AFR that is off. Any one have any suggestions other that a Dyno. I have all the software/cables for the SESTpro and really don't want to pay some yahoo $500 to tune my bike when I can do it. So just looking for a little advice, thanks in advance guys.
Dude there is a whole thread dedicated to the SEPST I dont know how to share links but just search this site. Harleytuner and Grillfish have a sh*# ton of experience with that tuner and I learned a lot by reading that thread. I have the same tuner but I"m running V&H BSS for exhaust, had her dialed in pretty good but I changed my cams over the weekend so it's back to square one. Oh well the smart tune rides can be fun trying to hit all the rpms and gears.
How did you attached the coin holder to the rear fender? I liked the way it came out, very clean.
If that for me ... I used Black RTV. just make sure the area is clean. I figured out where I wanted it before putting the RTV on it. Then used painters tape to hold it in place until it cured. The coin is held into the holder the same way.
Will be getting a lay down smoked lens to help smooth the look out even more
Have any of you guys added passenger floorboards to your lo? If so could you post some pics? I looked through the P&A book and put together a set up but it seems like every time I get something worked out and go spend my money with the motor company then one of you guys come up with something way cooler. My current accessory is having heat issues with her boots and she is afraid of leaving boot marks on the pipes.
