Misbehavin - love the ride. How to you like the full Roush cross-over? I was looking at those online and really like the look on the Lo. Are you running baffles? How loud are the pipes? I am more keen for performance/looks than sound. And they are pickly up north about Dbs.....
Nice bike. I love the mods. How do you find the loudness with the V&H's? I would like to improve on performance but as I mentioned in an earlier post, due to infuriating noise bylaws where I usually ride want to avoid tickets. I love the look of V&Hs though. Just have heard they are really loud. Any insight much appreciated.
Albartoss14 - Thanks for compliment. Are you happy with the LED headlight? I can't bring myself to drop the $$$ for that. As far as V&H being loud... When I had the pipes installed, I also upgraded the bike to stage 1 and added the cams. My bike is louder than it was stock but I really don't know how much louder just the pipe is from the stage 1 and cam work. I will say the V&H pipe has a deeper and throatier sound than other 2-1 pipes. Some love it, some hate it. I don't think it is obnoxious. I didn't want to get a pipe so loud my neighbors hated me. So far, I haven't heard any complaints, just compliments, 'Now it sounds like a Harley.' I guess I really didn't answer your question. If you know your bylaw db range, get on the V&H website and contact a rep and see if they know the dbs it produces. As far as performance, I don't know if this is across the board or just my dyno tuner but I have a dip in my power bands from 2100 to 2600 rpm. I was told that V&H pipes have this dip, the dyno tuner couldn't get it out. If you want a performance increase, go D&D Fatcat (it is an animal) but that pipe is loud as hell and would cause you ticket troubles. I don't know if I helped or hindered.

Thanks for the compliments. I love the sound of my pipes. They have a nice deep rumble with the 2.0 wrapped baffles in them. They are not to loud while cruising easy in town, but when I get on it they will set off some car alarms. On the highway cruising they aren't to bad but still a bit loud. I don't have a dyno comparison for them but I noticed a nice difference in performance increase with the pipes, air cleaner and tuner. I might suggest the 1.5 baffles for your location.
Jose, thanks for the compliments. He would definitely do a sturgis video if I can get him to go. He rides an iron and doesnt think he can make it. lol. I'm not gonna stop working on him though.
So I haven't been on here in a while... had to catch up 50 pages. Money has been tighter than usual and work has been insane, so not much work has been done on the bike. Still the same, just alot more miles on her.
Your guys bikes are looking great! Keep up the good work!
On Thursday I rode from Maryland, into Virginia, into West Virginia, back into Virginia, then back into West Virginia, then back into Maryland, then into West Virginia again, and finally into Ohio Where I went to the Easy Rider Rodeo on Chillicothe OH.
What a great trip.. Over 300 photos and Im having a hard time finding any I can send that wont get someone in trouble..
A real Sturgis trip is on the clock to happen soon.. Even if move, I may rent a bike just to make the ride..
My bike got very dirty.. covered in mud too, but she likes it dirty..
Damage note, I managed to hit my swingarm bag in some twisties.. scraped just enough to cut up the stitching so I have to get that repaired now... Also managed to melt part of my boot on a pipe cover so have a small mark now.. At first I always freaked out about these things, now Im looking at them more like scars.. Thats why I ride and not just look at it all shiny in a window..

Wow!! What a trip. The rodeo in Chillicothe is legendary around here, I feel like such a slacker for not going I only live about 30 minutes away.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. First, on the LED light - I love it. At night the difference in distance of viewing is exactly as advertised. A massive difference. I live a bit in the country and on the ride home from work it really makes a huge difference on the rural back roads. From a visibility and safety standpoint I am very happy. It is the same difference as Xeon were to car lights.
But the fact that it is blacked out and looks awesome helped
Thanks for the comments on the exhaust I believe anything over 94 db is a problem. Hard to go to anything but stock or SE slip ons to stay under. But are slip ons enough ? Sigh.

Thanks for the info on the pipes. Definitely don't want to set off alarms . Do you think there is much performance change with baffles ? Or are they purely just changing volume ?
YOu can call Vance and Hines and ask what the Db on any of there exhaust systems, I call a yr or so ago to get the same info for a buddy, they were very helpful
