home-made coil relocation, and the DK Customs 1.5" tank lift. i don't really have better pictures of the tank lift, i'll get some eventually.. here's some from when i was mounting the tank.. 1.5" in the front, .25" in the rear
before
after
DK makes a 1/2" rear tank lift, but at the time i did this, it wasn't compatible with the Lo's seat..it caused the nose of the seat to bend upwards and kinda hit you in the kibbles and bits, if you know what i mean.. so i have a 1/4" rear lift that fits much better
HD called yesterday about a recall regarding some kind of adjustment to the neck going inside the tank. Anyway, the local dealer took care of it this morning and washed the bike afterwards. I guess it effects many of the bikes from 2008 forward. It's probably on HD's website, but I did not check. Just posting to let everyone else know. If it has already been posted, what can I say other than I didn't go back and read the posts.
New owner here. Just traded in my Nightster yesterday for a '12 FB Low. Couldn't be happier. Gonna miss the rawness of the Sporty, but the wife and I can go for miles and miles now. Not sure what I have planned with it, it's a whole different game compared to the Sportster. Heading to Korea in March for a year, so don't have much planned before then, except maybe some slip ons for now.
