And again just another opinion. If you change your pipes and you start getting alot of decel popping and the bike hesitates at light and steady throttle you will need the Dealer remap or a fuel tuner. Just sayin that's all. I changed my pipes and the bike ran like crap until I put on a tuner, and of course if your gonna have pipes and a tuner ya might as well get the A/C to.
I took off my stock fender and took it to the local auto paint place (not a body shop) and asked them if they could match the harley matte black for me. It took them a couple of days (trial and error), but they nailed it.
I just wet sanded it, primed it, wet sanded it again and again. Then I shot it with the paint and wala.
Cost me about $150 total (includes fender), but I already had compressor and paint gun.
Well I got the Samson Caliber pipes on last night..finished at around 11:30 so didn't get any good pics. Will try and get some in the next day or so. They have a nice deep rumble and really opens up when you get down on the throttle.
Aaron- I just installed my road6customs license plate bracket.
To get the retaining clip to fit I had to remove the washer that was originally behind the nut.
Can you tell me if you had to do this?
Yea dude, I gave my everything to keep that washer on but needed like a 32nd of an inch but couldn't get it. The bracket functions as a washer now! Lets see pics!
To the guy strapping the bike on a trailer make sure those forks are tight man, I didn't strap mine tight enough and in Kansas City we hit some bumps and a strap hook jumped off and the bike fell on it's side. That is the reason why I now have apes and all new parts on the right side. My gun safe didn't fare so well either but insurance wouldn't let me claim it
