Welcome! I just got done putting 16" Gangsters on my 12 Lo with ABS, extended lines and cables will run you $300-$400 I got mine through Barnett (their brake line supplier is goodridge) You will need to order +12 and ensure they have the correct measurements for the 12 and not the 10 or 11yr model. Measure what you got and add your 12 to get a total requested length just to make sure! Got some wire extensions from NAMZ and some from Harley, not to expensive $20-50 if I remember. If you're getting the fatter bars 1.50" you'll have to add the cost of the risers also. Go with the 1.50". it totally suits the bike and front end.

I went with an internal throttle now so I actually have a set of throttle cables that are +12.

You do not have to get the ABS reset at the dealer either, I have heard this all over the forum but do not know the real reason people are saying this. I have had my front brake line off three times and fixing to do it again soon and have never had an issue!
Disconnect the battery before you do anything and use a fat syringe and small tube to reverse flush the caliper to the MC. Or but a harbor freight special brake fluid vaccuum/pump and make sure there are no air bubbles in your system and you won't ahve a problem.
I used the syringe to force fluid through my lines till the MC started to fill then sucked it back through, and pumped via the hand lever.

Good luck and enjoy.

Hey Deadanimal thanks for the ABS info. I sure appreciate that. Good stuff to know and learn here all the time.

Sooner or later i'm going to be blacking out engine and covers, was wondering about the difficulty in the process of removing covers. Do all fluids need to be drained first? or just top off after replacing gaskets and covers? Waiting on service manual now, the wait is killing me.

I stopped into a reliable custom motorcycle shop in town today to get another quote. $600. I'm also going to have them relocate the turn signals to the forks. Does anyone know if my detachable windshield hardware will interfere with that?

I relocated my signals and had no problem with the detach hardware for the windshield.

Could one of you that has the fender bib on the back of your low tell me what the measurements are? I have a guy making me a custom one.
Thanks!
