Got it all put back together after the PC work. Had to run out to the dealer to get a fender bolt, lost one rolling down the hwy. Be sure to check all your fasteners involved in your work after a shakedown run or two.
That's a familiar sight. You might want to put some strain relief on that front brake caliper. Also, check your tire pressure when you're all done. Mine was very low. Probably from the temp change and not having any weight on it for a couple of weeks???
Well, i finally forked over the cash to get the spring seat, i am in love with this seat...
now on to the bad crap
before this i had a lepera bare bones, im a big guy so i wanted to be as far down and back as possible, at first glance it looked high but i installed anyways to give it a shot.
the install was a bit of a pain in the ***, i had to grind and mod a couple of parts just to make it fit, the seat itself is beautiful but HD needs to get engineering back to the board for the spring kit on the LO.
i went for a ride today and i got the "elephant riding a tricycle" syndrome back, it sits too high for me and it pushed me too close to the bars...
all in all even though i love the look im pretty bummed out about this, i dont want to lose 600 bucks.

Hey man, love those bars!!! What would you guess the actual cost you paid total to get the bars, wires, cables, etc. not including installation?
I have been looking at bars of this style, BRCustoms has some pretty nice ones too, but never seen them on the Lo, but now that I have, I am thoroughly impressed with how well they go with it. I plan on getting some and getting a buddy of mine and some beers, because they sure as hell help to on a project like this, to help me change out the bars come February.
Also... the forward controls... where oh where did you get those? They look awesome!
All in all, very nice looking bike! In my opinion, best looking Lo I've seen yet! Too bad about the seat though, it does look great on there.

Reason: Typo
thanks man, i had to get bars, cables, one or two gaskets, black levers and risers,oh i also got a couple of new joints for the brake cable, i think the whole thing came up around 750 bucks. i did the install myself, HD wanted 1000 bucks to install.
The forwards are a harley part, i got them even though the book said "except for FLSTFB"
i took the seat off and put my lepera back on... im going to try to figure out how to push it down and back.

I dig that look. I want to put that seat on my lo too, but now I am rethinking after your experience. i like sitting low on the bike and would hate to feel too close or too high up. Looks great though! let us know if you find a solution.
