Ok cool. Kinda crazy tearing into bikes at 4000 miles and 1700 miles lol. It is surreal other vehicles bikes you would be like wth! can't believe I did that SOB*(*&&*(()! But now it's like eh well looks like time to spend more money lol.
For me it was the same thing with cars and trucks. I hate forums. My Dodge Daytona only had 2500 miles on it when I did a complete redo of it.
Before
After
Finally got to get back on the lo this morning. Unfortunately I moved my house right before I left for some military training. Now my commute is only about eight miles instead of 27. Not nearly as much time to enjoy the lo. Now I have to be one of those guys who worries about condensation in their oil. I put on the new frenched trim rings for the headlight and passing lamps that i had powder coated while I was gone. I really like how they look. Now I just have to get the trucklite phase 7 that was the main reason for getting the frenched trim rings. That's got to wait though for the oil cooler. I think I'm going to get the HD one. If anybody with ABS has pics of one installed on theirs I'd love to see them. Here's a few pics of the new trim rings.
Hey, I got a solution for that....my shop is only 14 miles, but I take the long way as often as not, and it is closer to 25 miles.
MisbeHaven looks like you had the same addiction on your truck. Turned out real nice. Like the no door handles. Lol what else are we going to spend our money on ha.
This depends on who does your PC work... If they are a good company, they should do the cleanup for you. If they are lazy, you will need a razorblade, some fine sandpaper and maybe some wax and a little buffing cloth. I sent my legs, unknowingly, to a bad one. Took me about 19 minutes to clean up the excess around the bottom hole of the forks and the backside of the fender mount holes. You should not have to worry about retapping any threads.

I was so happy with my bike before I found this thread, and now these guys have given me so many ideas. Then it all starts spiraling out of control, while out working on one mod, you start thinking about all the stuff you have seen here, the ideas start coming, then you start researching that mod and then you end up telling yourself "as long as I got that apart...." or "well that really goes with....so I should...", you end up with a huge pile of parts sitting in your living room, before you know it your bank accounts start screaming for mercy. Isn't it great????
This is the first of many bikes I have owned that has really been modded. The other had a few things done but not to this extent. But then again I did not follow any forums at the time.
As long as the wife gets chrome for her little chrome ***** I am good to go. She did how ever hate my truck because I would not let her drive it.
