After having my learners permit for a year, I had this month only to take my test to get the actual permit. Traded my Sporty last week and got real nervous taking this test on the big Heritage. I was in a group of 6. In my group were 2 sport bikes, a sporty, a road king and a scooter. Only been on my bike less than a week...and I only got one point deducted! Everyone else was like 5 and higher.....anyway, I am stoked!!! whew Major relief!
Congrats. Here in Ga, the learner's permit consist of just a written test. Is only good for six months, but can be renewed. No riding passengers, interstate riding, or night riding.
yeah I couldn't believe it either. Before I went into the cone slalom I looked at the instructor and shook my head because I knew I was going to blow it...once I was done and passed it perfectly, he said to me "what was you whining about?" lol
I am still just stunned that I do so well compared to the other smaller and sport bikes.
I kinda remember when 'Bike Permits' were a new thing!!
Road down to the VA DMV(?) office and asked for one.
The 'tester' asked if I had a legal driver's license..."yes".
Said it was a dollar for the bike permit!!! He then stamped a red 'offical' seal on the back of my 'paper license'. I said "thank you" and left.
