Forgive me if I've posted in the wrong section but I thought I'd get more exposure here. Did alot of mods this winter, but the only motor related were going from V&H staggered straight shots to V&H Big Radius and ditching the football AC cover for a Jersey Customs football cover with the ends cut off and holes added. Same SE air cleaner, hell I didn't even remove it. Now on about every other cold start up I've got a slight backfire which sounds like it's coming from the exhaust. Hit the starter button, pop. Wait a sec, hit it again, fires right up. Runs normal. Doesn't do it when warm.
Pipes have Big City Thunder Monster Baffles. Bike has PC III usb. I've also got a little rust colored spot on the front pipe right before the heat shield. Not blue. Any thoughts?
I bought the bike like you see it in the first pic. Already had the 103" kit installed. I do have all service records and receipts though and from looking at the dyno sheet after install it says "stroker ecm". I have fuel and ignition table copies as well. It also says "ECM CAL #32945-02,USB PC. And has the previous owners name and 805 ADV. MAP after it. This was from 1/5/07. The engine was built in Dec. of '02 so not sure what he was running up to the 1/5/07 date.
Sounds like dyno time, power comander.com has a list of authouized centers I am sure you can find someone of good reputation in the KC area.
Good luck.
