Default solid rims ? on fatboy lo

I have the new lo and I don't know if its because its been unusually windy here lately or if its the wind against the rims, I love the solid rims, so don't tell me to change them, lol how do I get used to the buffeting of the wind on the rims? Its fine in town, but once I get on the highway at higher speeds, kind of freaks me out, I can handle it okay but any advice from you guys will help.

FatBoy wheels aren't safe above 35 mph. don't get it!!!! get something with tiny holes in the wheels instead.

J/K - there have been so many posts about solid wheels and the wind. it's an urtban myth. every wheel acts like a solid wheel above 35 mph.

I think it's funny. we never heard a bagger complain about the wind - even when his rear wheel has small openings and mostly covered by the bags. or someone on a NT with it's rear wheel, or the FatBob......

EVERY bike will be buffeted by strong cross winds.

Windy is jst that windy. It doesn't matter what yur on. I have the Nightster out yesterday and got blown around on that. I think it is mostly a thing in your head. . . . really. People have said that they increase your windage, but I had solid wheels on my 2002 SERK and didn't have any more or less problem with that, than I did with 2006 RG or the Lo Boy. . .

jst MHO

I have a solid wheel on the back of my train, and a spoked wheel up front. Rode in serious cross winds last week. The whole bike was being pushed sideways, almost into the oncoming lane at times. I guess my point is, if this myth is true, the wind should have pushed the back of the bike only.

Geez, don't ride in the wind. I'm sorry, I thought this was a site for the true biker. Don't get me wrong everyone is entitiled to speak but some of these posts are rediculously inane. Everything from "I put smoked lens covers on my turnsignals today" to "Sat on my bike in the garage today" posts. Give me a break. Maybe I need some time off from this site. It's a shame because alot of good stuff can be found here. Just my view, don't get all fired up now.

Yeah, I'm just venting. A couple of vodkas and I'm mad at the world. I just don't see the need to post the obvious or useless stuff. Sorry.

lol... don't apologize.

the way I see this forum work, is you can say what's on your mind - just be ready to have a few fiery darts sent your way.
