I was between the BSS (love the bike Jed) and Double Barrel and ended up with the DB. The sound is amazing, and many have said they are even better with the Big City Thunder baffles.
Not to add more choices, well yeah I guess I am adding choices, but I really love mine. A buddy has the BSS and they are a little *louder* and higher pitch I guess you could say. Another buddy has the Big Radius 2-2 and they are just too freakin' loud to me. But that's just one man's opinion.
What I like most out the BSS is the ability to have a quiet baffle (if necessary). I've already been cited once for a "defective muffler." That one was my own fault as I wasn't running any baffles in the short shots. The baffles are back in but it's always in the back of my mind when I pass an LEO.
