Default Air cleaner cover options

Guys,
I'm looking for some options for the air cleaner cover for my 09 fatboy. Just completed stage 1 with K&N air filter and would like something a little nicer than the stock "football" cover. Harley only has a couple of choices and I have the HD smooth round cover but it is a little to plain for me. I have seen some pretty cool insert options, but they still utilize the stock football cover. I really like the look of the round cover. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You can use just the insert without the football cover. You just bolt the "start" bracket to the filter and attach the insert. Do a search, there was just a thread about this a little while ago. I attached a pic of my Road King with the Skull collection insert like that and my Crossbones with a custom cover on the filter. It looks pretty sweet with an open filter.....

Why not have a custom one made for your bike?

When I had my Sportster I had a 'teardrop' with a K&N filter. I don't mind the 'football' cleaner on my Heritage, but if I decided to change it I'd go with the 'teardrop.'

I have the HD round cover on my deluxe, had it powder coated back then put a timing cover in the middle, just drilled and tapped the cover. There are many options.

I like these covers. I also like the raised skull (wrinkle black & chrome). It looks like they require the star mounting bracket. Do you know if they come with the star mounting bracket or is this something you have to get from Harley? Also, if install this you will be running with an open filter. Does this affect the tune? How about if it rains? Sorry for all of the newbie questions.
