ok, this isn't your typical what pipes should I get thread......
I have the Bassani Road Rage short 2-1 on my crossbones. It has a good sound, but not real loud. I am considering taking the baffle out of the muffler. Since it's a 2 into 1 it has a "collector" so it still have some back pressure. My question is, what would the ill effects be of removing the baffle? I know it will be louder and I would probably loose a little low end grunt, but what else am I not thinking about? I am running a Power Commander V and a stage 1 A/C.
Yeah. Unless you have really long pipes with fish tails on the ends or something; you really need some baffles. Performance needs to factor into your equation somewhat.
