id have to agree with the "create the demand " comment, they know exactly what they are doing, the same way anniversery models used to come about every 25 years, now they come up every 5 minutes, anything to lure us into the real of get it while you can limited edition. Now if you really want to talk about bringing something back , how about a decent duo glide with a proper pogo seat that rode like an ocean liner. Then the'd be onto something imo.
What are you guys talking about? They do still make the Deuce... they just put a big *** tire on the same asymmetrical flat tanked softail frame and called it uhhh... awww shoot, I forget now.
I would be surprised if the dropped the Custom...it seems to sell good but of course I don't know the exact numbers. I would guess it outsells the Crossbones and the Rocker. I am surpirsed they haven't done anything with that rear fender and tire combo they had on the Screamin Eagle Springer. They might drop the Custom as we know it and replace the back end with that 240 and call it something else. The only other reason I can think of is if they are going to release it as a Screamin Eagle. They might drop it during that model year and then bring it back.
I always wondered why they got rid of the deuce, i never could find one in dealers..always thought that was a sign they couldn't keep them in stock.
I think, bring the train back like others have said.
Merge the deuce and rocker to make one unbelievable machine. Rocker wide tire setup minus ugly diving board passenger seat w/ deuce forks and 21" front tire... Deuce minus ugly rear fender and wheel...
