Default Drain Plugs?

Anyone use anything to put on the oil and tranny plugs threads when you put them back in some kind of thread dope or anything ?

Nope not anymore.Just a new o ring and torque to spec.Started finding swimmy looking stuff in my oil from the dope I was using on the threads.No leaks if torqed right and new o ring.

Nope, not even a new o-ring unless it's ripped.

That's all I have been doing just replacing the O'rings

New O-Ring every time, torque to spec.. GTG

I bought mine used... The first time I change the fluids, the plugs had teflon tape on them... Not sure why... I removed it and install new O Rings... GTG

I use teflon tape. Seems to work for me..

Nope. White Loctite is a thread sealant. Use that and torque the plugs to spec, and you'll never have to replace an O-ring.
