With proper maintenance, how many miles can I expect before having to get into the engine? 2005 Heritage

Thanks for any input.

I'm sure this will be an interesting thread to watch. Also sure it has a lot to do with the rider and care. My cousin traded in a 94 Ultra with 94000 and no problems. Thanks for posting.

Well I started this thread 4/27/2010 I now have 60,000 miles on my 05 Heritage. I did install the cam chain tensioner upgrade kit because it seemed the right thing to do. Been using Amsoil for 50K miles in all chambers. She runs like a sewing machine so far. I perform all my own maintenance by the book every 5000 miles. My indie has a mechanic with 250K on his bike but she says it's pukin all over the place. :-)

This is probably the best thread resurrection I've seen so - the OP following up. Very cool. and glad the bike is running well.

Good follow up on this thread. I have never had a bike long enough to put 50,000 miles on it. If I keep my Ultra a couple more years I may get there.
