My '04 EG Classic is coming up on 105,000 miles and it runs great.
I have used Amsoil in it since day one and maintain it religiously. Here's what I have done to it;
a) 2 sets of rear wheel bearings
b) front motor mount
c) some minor seals and shift linkage
d) drive belt at 85,000 (put a stone thru it)
e) I put the SE tensioner upgrade in at 82,000 (my tensioners had almost no wear on them)
f) I had valve work done at 102,000. (about 20,000 miles back I changed spark plugs and had a bad plug out of the box. Long story short, rear head overheated because of the plug, caused a stuck valve/guide. I think that was why I recently needed the valve work)
g) voltage regulator
That's it. Seems like a long list but it's really not much.
I rode the bike to Sturgis from Penna last year (5000 miles round trip), used about 8 oz. of oil. I'll ride it till it dies! Put 350 miles on it yesterday. It goes to work with me every day. Best bike I ever owned. It's been in 47 of the lower 48 states.
