go for the 2007 and up as you get the 96" motor and 6 speed box , great for long rides at fast speeds.

If you're already thinking about a 200 tire you should go with a 2007 or newer NT.

For me I'm happy with my '05 narrow tire... It's how I roll... lol

Hey story whats going on. Sweet *** train. I'm currently rolling on an 04 train. What kind of apes are those? What type of rear fender are you rocking? Have you lowered ur train at all?

On the 07 and up you'll also get the 96in and a fob... lol But my 88in still gives them a run for their money...

What's up J... Thanx brah... My bars are 14" 1.25 dia Wild 1, Chubby's. The rear fender is off a '05 Deluxe thats been shaved and smoothed of all bolt holes. My bike is pretty much slammed... 3* raked trees, -2 tubes, and a progressive drop in lowering kit completes the front. The rear is progressive 413's and is sitting on the snubber.

If you like the 200mm rear tire, get a newer one that comes with the big tire. It will probably save money over buying an older one and modifying it for a bigger tire.

I like FI, 96", & 6 speed but performance wise these things don't add that much over the TC88 bikes. So, I think the question you'll have to ask yourself is, how important is the big tire?

Def digging ur bike Story. I like those apes, and might have to look into getting these for my train. Was looking at 14's or 16's, I'm 6'1. Did you have to do anything special with the front brake line and clutch after putting on the apes? Would love to lower my train front and back, but the wife likes to come on rides with me, so Im not sure if I could even lower the bike, the rear end at least, because of her being of the back of the ride. I saw heartland makes a lowering kit that still allows for passengers, but that might just be for the Rocker not sure.

Thanks everyone, there's lots of good info in here. The 200 rear is a pretty big factor for me, and since I'd prefer EFI I'm thinking an 07 is the way to go. I think I'd almost certainly put the money I'd save on an older model right back into it, and at least this way it's closer to what I want from the start.

IMHO the 07+ is the way to go. FI, 96", 6-Speed, 200MM rear.

It might cost more, but you get more.
