I really really thought hard about these before I did my bars. My conclusion is that there is not enough pull back on them for comfy riding on a fatty. Maybe for hopping around town but I think anything beyond 50 miles your back is not going to appreciate you very much. You might want to look at RSD's new bobber apes. They look like they would be a little better.
There is a guy who had these on his train and they looked great. I am sure he will chime in, I cannot remember his forum name. I can get you these at a discount or any other RSD bars you might want. Honestly, the pullback is far to difficult to judge based on one person's opinion. Ape style bars are great because you can roll the as far forward or back as you want in the clamp allowing for more or less "pullback."
I saw that night train on here also they do look sick on that bike. One other thing about those bars is at only 30" wide they might look too narrow on a FATTY But like you said to each his own.
Whatever you decide on please make sure to post pics. I think changing bars on a FATTY is one of the best mods you can do. I wish I had done bars before anything else. More comfy and look way better.

Do you have any pics of the RSD Bobber Apes? I cant seem to find them. Thanks.

Go to Roland Sands website and download the 2010 VTWIN catalog. They are called the ribbed bobbers. I also think the Gliders bars would look killer on a Fatty. I just decided to go LOW and WIDE lines with my whole bike so I went with the KLOCK WERKS MENTELE bars and as a plus I was able to use stock cables.
