I think "OldGeezer" was referring to the 06 that I was looking to purchase...

The more I look at the Deuce the more I like it

Liked mine the first time I saw it...'06 it is with 29,473 miles, mostly highway, Sundowner seat, no monkey butt... Gonna bump my front end so it will trail 3" instead of 5, lower the rear to ride level, should solve the 'slight' cornering issue, though it isn't a problem... I'm 6' 3" and it fits me fine... gonna put some mini-apes on it to bring my hands to shoulder height...sig pic is from the first 500 miles... lost the reflectors since then, bought hard bags (that's why the rear sigs are pushed back). Engine and tranny still strong, may put a sixth gear in, (someday)... Rode it from Doo Dah, (Wichita, KS.) through Colorado, and a piece of Montana to Sturgis when it was two months new... blah blah blah, can you tell I love this ride ???

I don't know but there must be a reason for Harley discontinuing the Deuce and not the FXST.

that mileage isnt an issue!!mine did 77k, then i went to 95" and andrews cams, motor was still running like a freight train, just wanted to do the big bore!, one thing, the cam tensioners were close to letting go! just check or replace cam tensioners and you will be good to go!

If you like the Deuce you'd probably like any soft-tail. Prices for these bikes do seem to be coming down, I think you could find a newer HD with less miles and FI for the same or even less...
