Default Accidently pulled out 02 sensor wires

Help if you can, im putting my new exhaust on my 09 crossbones (thanks Dr V twin) anyways, as i unbolted the rear pipe, i guess i pulled too hard and pulled the o2 wires out of what ever harness they go too... now, they arent broke, just pulled out, the problem is, i have no clue what connector they go to, and , there is two wires that look exactly the same, need to know how it goes, Please help out if you can.

thanks,
chris

Get a manual start there. Next time if something doesnt want to move dont pull or beat on it.

The O2 Sensor Harness Connector is under the Oil Tank. It has a plastic rivit (of sorts) that attaches it to the frame. With the Exhaust off of the bike you can get to the connector from the Riders Right Side of the bike. The wires for the O2 Sensor do a 180 degree turn whenthey come out of the O2 Sensor to attach to the harness connector. IMHO you'll be really very lucky if the O2 Sensor is still any good. If you hauled on the exhaust forcefully enough to pull the wires out of the connector . . . its not real likely that they're still making the right electrical connections in the sensor itself . . . I'd recommend disconnecting the Rear O2 Sensor before removing the exhaust and then reattach the wires to the Rear O2 Sensor before bolting up the exhaust system . . . .

Since you're doing a PC-V, just get some of the screw in plugs that go in the O2 sensor bungs, I guess you could call them bung plugs, and call it good, hell when I got my exhaust and PCV, Bassani sent a set of pipes for '96 and earlier, so no ports. Didn't bother sending them back....

Seeing as your putting in a PCV without the autotune, just put the plugs in the bungs and you'll be fine.
I would however cut off the connectors from the old O2 sensors, fill them with dielectric grease and plug them back into the harness connectors.
That will keep any water from getting into the exposed wires and destroying the pins on you.
You never know, someday you may need them and it will also keep any stray debris or water from shorting the wires and sending weird signals to the ECM.

PS, without the O2 sensors and or the auto tune module I would get the bike dynoed to be sure the PCV is dialed in properly.

you've got an international model, they come with some called active exhaust...i think you can just unplug the connector in the ac backplate...mine is not international but the connector is there and ain't got any probs....

PS, without the O2 sensors and or the auto tune module I would get the bike dynoed to be sure the PCV is dialed in properly
