I am just getting back into riding again and want to know something about the swing arm. I know a person who wants to get rid of his 2004 Fatboy swing arm. I ride a 93 Fatboy and was thinking of buying his to have chromed. Will it mount to my bike? What are the problems that I will run into.

Their are different part numbers for those two chrome swingarms in the harley catalog, so I'd think they were different. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
The swingarm for your bike is $549. How much to chrome the 2004? I'd think you might want to consider using the H-D chrome swingarm even if you could come up with a used non-chrome swingarm. If the chrome pits on a swingarm once you've put it on, it's a lot of work to pull it off, rechrome and re-install. I'd think if you're going to go to do all the work to replace the swingarm, I'd get H-D's, which you know is at least good chrome (unless of course you have a very good chrome shop).
