Default Elec. idiot here, got a question...

Went out to start my baby yesterday, turned on power, hit start, got a "click" and power went off. Took seat off today, fiddled with a few wires, got power to come back on, but got click and death again on trying to restart.
Rode last Sunday and all was well. Bike has been on tender all week, so I'm assuming I got plenty of juice.
BTW, this is a '94 Custom. Me being good at mech. stuff and no good at electrical, I pose the question to all. Please help, no ride this weekend makes me pissy!!

Thanks

First guess is the connections on the battery. Remove them, clean them, reinstall and make sure they are tight.

I'd also check the ground wire at the frame. If that doesn't work do what I do.

I'm guessing you don't have a amp\volt tester? take your battery to an Advance Auto parts store and say please test my battery. If your connections are clean and tight I'm guessing the battery is kaput.

Plus one on both. You may have to recharge the battery too if the wires were loose.

Turned a wrench, tightened a few things, forgeting that I ride a vibrating Harley sometimes. Problem solved. Would rather feel like a dummy and be a simple fix than have a bigger problem.
Thanks for the help.
