Well I've been in search for the perfect helmet, or at least one that I can stand to wear. I have everything from a $600 modular Shoei to $20 novelty helmets. I currently wear a bandana for head protection. My wife has so carefully voiced her opinion about me starting to wear one. I like the jet pilot style for the half helmet/open face look. I'll try this DOT helmet out for $25 plus s&h, and post the results of my findings....if anyone cares. Ordered it today. I'll post as soon as I can test it out. Stay tuned....
Check out Nexx helmets. I just ordered the X-60 vintage. They are so bad ***!! I got mine in black with the Harley orange piping. If you google Nexx helmets you should find the site.
The Nexx looks KILLA! If this style works out for me I'll sell the Shoei and buy a Nexx. Too much for a whim purchase for me though. I'm glad to see new styles like this, and I'm glad I posted. That what makes this forum worth while. Thanks for the Nexx suggestion.
I like mine but just for around town if I get it up past 60 the wind is really bad underneath the front and sides of the visor.
I've never had a problem with the wind at speeds over 60. I do wear clear goggles underneath the visor to keep my eyes from watering though.
I used to wear a half helmet (Bell Drifter) and now when I wear that, it blows around like crazy...didn't notice how bad it was until I got used to teh 3/4 AGV.
