I sent an email asking about them and they are brand new but a few years old. Should I get these? Its a hell of a deal. I'm not sure if they are actually 422s though. It says something about similar to their new 422 Series Pull Shocks.
Same shocks I put on my Softail. I am pleased with them. I ride 2-up 70% of the time, we don't bottom out since the 422's were installed, and adjusted.

I seen them as well and decided against them because they don't look like the 422's currently being sold and then that same statement kind of bothered me where it said similiar.
I ended up going to American Classic for theirs which are the real deal and after a couple of offer swapping got them for 389.00 w/free shipping.
I bet the "similar" statement is just explaining that they are like the newer model 422s. If they are new old stock they are probably a discontinued model

I might have to look at that.
Do the 422s come with a spanner to adjust the preload?
Keep us posted on how these work. I'm kicking myself for not picking up the 422s when they were $366 just a couple of months ago. Anybody tried calling Progressive about these? I might try that tomorrow.
