FLSTN Duals
Checking in on the duals for the 1994 FLSTN from the original post. I am looking at a 94, and that is something I would want, but am running into the same obstacles.
BTW, I am looking at a 94 FLSTN, 11k, a good bit of chrome, really good shape. Is 10k a fair price for that? It does not have the original bags.

the 94 and earlier frame does not have a mounting area on the left side of the frame and the 95 and newer does. this is what is different by the two years. many people have mounted Samson true duals to 94 and earlier bike with modifications to the left side of the frame. the mounting location would be on a forged portion of the frame directly to the left hand side from the right side bracket mounting location. it is curved in that area on the left, not flat. two holes 3/8 - 16 holes will need to be drilled with the mounting bracket as a template with the exhaust mounted so you get the holes drilled in the right place. mark the locations with a hole punch then remove the exhaust. the bracket is straight and will need to be bent to form to the frame or fabricate a wedge to fit the frame so the bracket doesnt have to be bent. we recommend the person making this modification have fabrication experience.
