I'm having a little trouble finding a set of true dual exuast (right and left pipe) for my 1994 Nostalgia. Fishtails would be nice. Guess I could go with the head pipes first or locate the complete set. Vance and Hines doesn't list for a 1994 and seems everything cuts off at 1995. Would appreciate any knowledgible input as to where I could look and if what brackets are needed. Thanks !

I have the same bike and am looking for true duals for it as well. I called Samson, and a guy there told me that the ones they sell for 95+ softails will fit, but would require tapping the frame for one of the mounting bolts. Unfortunately I haven't made the leap yet so can't tell you how it went.
If you can find a used set, the Samson part number was S-220 when they made them for the older bikes. Drew, I would also be interested to hear what you find out.
Here's also a pic of what that will look like, case you're interested:
Did he say where you have to tap the frame? I would imagine it is on the swing arm on the left side where the bracket mounts. I ahve to call V&H too and see what they say. I find it hard to believe no one makes ones that bolt on.
No, he didn't specify Drew. I'd imagine your right-- there really isn't any other place for them to secure to. Where do they mount on a new Deluxe do you know?

the 94 and earlier frame does not have a mounting area on the left side of the frame and the 95 and newer does. this is what is different by the two years. many people have mounted Samson true duals to 94 and earlier bike with modifications to the left side of the frame. the mounting location would be on a forged portion of the frame directly to the left hand side from the right side bracket mounting location. it is curved in that area on the left, not flat. two holes 3/8 - 16 holes will need to be drilled with the mounting bracket as a template with the exhaust mounted so you get the holes drilled in the right place. mark the locations with a hole punch then remove the exhaust. the bracket is straight and will need to be bent to form to the frame or fabricate a wedge to fit the frame so the bracket doesnt have to be bent. we recommend the person making this modification have fabrication experience.
thank you,
JR
