Default Handlebars for FXSTB

I need some assistance as to what handlebars would best fit what I’m looking for. I love the look of my Night train and don’t want to get away from the drag bars. However, I go for rides between IL and GA. The stock setup doesn’t allow me to move around from the riding position it places me in, which gets very uncomfortable after a couple hours. I think a 2-4in pull back from stock would make a huge difference. I’m 5’11’’ so I don’t think it’s because I’m short. I’ve been looking at bars on Wild 1’s page, but I don’t know how any of them would look on the Train. Any suggestions or experience with aftermarket handlebars would be appreciated.

I've got the 501's on my Train. They sure made a difference!

Just so you know, I also have 3* raked trees on the bike.

TX outlaw, did you have to get extended cables or did the stock ones work. Your setup is killer!

I did the 1 1/4" SE Deuce bars with risers and riser cover to hide all wires totally.
It gives the upright, flat style of a drag bar, but has a little more pullback.
It's a little more fancy than Chubbys or Street Slammers, if that's what you're looking for.
Same cables.

Take a look at mine in the picture below. I also put this little smoked fairing to hide the rising. very nice and confortable.

Wild1 501's, did not have to extend the cables, had to reshape the brake line alittle. I did however add a few inches to the wirining on both sides. These bars were just the ticket, my guess is you will really like them.

I also did the 501's on my 07. I love the way they look from the seat but not the front. I added a bag up front to take away from the long riser look. If I had to do it again I'd get the 500's or the low profile ones. All and all I love the look (with the bag) of the bars. I really love the comfort now too.

I was uncomfortable with the stock bars on my Springer. I actually found a set of bars for the FL to be perfect. With the risers, I needed new cabling, but the stainless steel looks very nice. Put me in a better riding position and handles like a dream. Have fun!
