Default bubba quick release brackets for harley deluxe bags

I have been hounding bubba for a set of quick release brackets for my deluxe Harley bags. I talked to Brent who is the brains behind there products. I have the stock pipe setup with cycle shack slip ons on my machine. He is sending me a setup for the right side of the bike to try out I will get back to him with any mods if needed and then he is going to send me a complete set chromed. For any of you who have not heard of bubba brackets I believe he makes the best because they are clean looking and fit close. I have seen other bracket setups that put your bags inches away from the strut, from the back of the bike this does not look good. I had looked at the ghost brackets and you have to do some fabricating meaning drilling and line up work and then still have the bags inches away from the strut also there is no supporting bracket under the bags if it was not needed why would Harley have it you know if they could save a dollar by not having them they would. I would also like to mention ghost brackets terrible customer service. I had asked one of there so called tecks a few questions about an install on a deluxe and in a minute it was obvious that he had never done one after a half a dozen questions and me asking him if he ever installed a set on a deluxe he hung up on me. The girl that answers the phone used profanity and should have been fired. Any way bubba has been in limbo for a while but things should get better soon and the deluxe setup will be available for the deluxe with or without the original exhaust. I have been waiting for the setup and believe its worth it. i will post updates

I second the opinion that Bubbas has the best setup for quick detach systems on the market. I too have been in contact with them trying to get them to engineer and market a solo luggage rack that will work with their quick detatch mounts for my 2001 FLSTC. Bubba himself has built one for his Heritage but has not yet designed one to market. If anyone is using this system and wants to have a chrome quick detatch luggage rack for use when riding in a solo setup, please pester them for one also.

I talked to them last week and they said they should have the system done for the deluxe bags in the next week or so... I was bummed because they only make these brackets specifically for Harley bags. According to them they will not connect to any other bag type. (I have flat back bags).

If you have low pipes and have not purchased bags yet the guy at bubbas suggested you get the fender strut replaced with the 4 hole one and buy the Heritage bags. (you need the extra hole)
