The cost of wheels suck. That being said,if you don't spend 2k on wheels, you will soon be disappointed with the quality of what you bought.
+1 - Yup... had a hard time convincing myself on spending that amount; however, once I compared cast chrome vs. forged chrome, I knew I wanted quality and it wasn't going to be inexpensive.
These are R/C Component's "Calypso" wheels. 100% satisfied with the purchase!

I would have to disagree. If you put a little work into it and take your time you can find good deals .Mine is a RC components raven 21x3.5 I have matching rotors and pulley and only have about 750.00 in them . I'm still looking at buying a matching rear wheel. but the polished solid wheel looks good for now . I refuse to spend a 1000 for a wheel .

LOL. I never said there was no debate.

I said that I did not start this thread to debate that point.

I have my opinion, you have yours

Not really interested in chrome or billet. Theres enough shiny on the bike already. Likewise not interested in spokes.
Just want something similar to the Thunderstar I had on my previous Fat Boy
but they dont make a size for my 09.

I think I'm SOL...

I did a search recently because I was interested in upgrading to some decent quality, U.S. made 60 or possibly 80 spoke wheels for my Standard. Suffice it to say sticker shock put an end to that particular interest pretty quick. May re-visit the idea after I take care of about 867 other priorities
