Avon 250 Blistering

Avon 250 Blistering
I just put a 250 AV72 on the Rocker and in less than 5 miles areas of the tread are peeling. Has anybody else seen this with Avons? Are these discount internet stores selling blems?? WTF

On the stock rim, tire to belt clearance is .22"-.30", depending on where the belt rides on the pulley. On my bike the outside edge of the belt rubs on the swingarm... now that is tight.

While I can not explain the Blistering, I can tell you that I took a long time to decide between the Avon 250 and the Dunlop Elite3 250. I eventually went with the 250 Elite3, however in doing my homework I did stumble on a post either here on HDforums or on another Forum where someone described your exact issue and how they were having a Beoch of a time with Avon Tyres to get reimbursed with a New Rubber. Do a little research and you may find this thread either here or on Google.com .
