Default Jiffy Stand Spring

On an 07 softtail Custom do the spring connect to the hole on the frame or to the foward control mount?

Default jiffy stand spring

Thanks, tring to solve a vibration problem from 70 mph and above. While accelerating to that speed everything is smooth then I start to fill a vibration in my hands and feet.

Another interesting point here. My shop manual sets the spring up differently than it came from the factory/dealer. I dropped my bike when it was almost new because the stand wasn't all the way forward. I didn't pay much attention but when I was doing service later I noticed that the spring set up was different in the manual. Installing the spring the way that the manual shows makes the stand 'snap forward' into place, but also results in requiring more force to retract the stand. I guess this means that Harley decided that it was better that you drop your bike than to ride off with your stand down in terms of liability. I like my stand snapping forward, not rearward, so I left it the way that the manual shows.
