Ok had my bike tuned and put down 85 hp and 91 torque SAE. 88ci, thunderheader 2-1, D&M intake and 510g cams and cam gears. Are these good numbers for my mods?
Sounds pretty good. For a slight comparison my bike put down 81hp and 98ft lbs. its a 08 night train rinehart 2-1, woods tw6-6 advanced 4 degrees pc3 and heavy breather. I still have a slight sputter on take off. I still thikin i have more power left with more tuning as my air fuel at WOT is 12.8.
The one thing is the bike kind of sputters between 2500-3000 rpm's is this normal with a cam upgrade? The tuner say's it's the pipe causing it.
Those are good peak numbers.
Sputtering is not normal. Hard to believe its the pipe considering you have a 2n1 that is on thousands of builds. Not familiar with 510's. Do they typically want more compression than an 88" offers? Post your sheet if you like. Who tuned it? You may want to post this in the engine/fuel forum.
fwiw - No sputtering with cammed 88". No dyno, just a stage 1 flash and DFO.
