be sure the inner spacer is not loose and that it does not bow the bearings outward either

The inner spacer had some play when I removed the wheel and there is a about 1/4" now that the bearings are replaced. Call me crazy but I don't think you'd want to have it tight against the inner race of the bearing.

Well luckily I was too lazy to install it last night otherwise I probably would have screwed it up real good again!! I still had the wheel in the back of my truck so I just whipped over to the custom builder that has a shop near my work. He slapped a handy little tool on there and took up the slack between the bearing and the inner spacer.

Thanks tk353, if it wasn't for you I would have left it alone and right back to square one in no time!

I put it back together last night and she rides as smooth as silk now, no wobble, no grinding.
Thanks again for the input guys.

You should only torque the axle to spec. The spacer shouldn't be 'tight'.
