Amen.
With a bit of investment up front on some tools and equipment, you will save hundreds of dollars a year on mods and service. The above two items mentioned are probably two of the most crucial to have. Give it a shot. Consult a service manual and follow the parts' instructions. You'll be surprised how easy it can be and the satisfaction you can have from wrenching on your own scoot is a plus.

The dealer is quoting me 255 for installation of all three. I'm just trying to decide if it is worth it.
Just took a look at the bolts that are holding on the exhaust and they look mighty hard to get to. I'm assuming I need special wrenches?
Where does one mount the power commander on the crossbones?
