Default labor costs

I have a 2009 Crossbones and was wondering what is a reasonable cost for labor to install the following.

1. V&H shortshots staggered
2. Arlen Ness stage 2 big sucker
3. power commander 5 already mapped.

I'm getting a different quote everytime I call in to a HD dealer. Even the same dealer is giving me a different number on a different day. I'm just curious what is a reasonable cost.

Thanks!@

The cost is usually based on the projected labor times estimated time to complete the job. Most car dealers and in my exeperience HD dealers use a book that gives industry standards for doing a job. So, ask the dealer what the labor rate is and the estimated time to do the job.

That should help you compare qoutes.

Also depends on where your located... i know around DC here it's 90$ an hour for the labor and if you head up to PA it's 45$ an hour.

These 3 things are definitely "do it yourself".

Do it your self.

You can do the big sucker in 20 min.

The pipes in 1 hr.

The power commander in 45 min or less.

I just put the PC-5 in a 2010 fat boy. It really is not bad at all. Took maybe 25 minutes or so. The air cleaner is a 20 minute job and super easy. The pipes around an hour to hour in a half or so. It is easier if you have two people doing the pipes.
