Chrome shouldn't normally be polished unless you are trying to remove minor surface imperfections. Wiping it down with glass cleaner is all that's usually needed. That said, the best metal polish I've found is Simichrome. A little goes a long way. Mothers doesn't even come close.

If you get some stubborn spots that get cloudy, this stuff works like a champ. Brought some neglected pipe tips back from the grave with Maas.
Neverdull is great if you wanna get high while your doing the "bright-work" LOL. Works great, but the headache sucks.

For heavy cleaning I have turtle wax chrome polish. For quick touch up jobs I found a spray on cleaner called "Stainless Steel Magic".

I started using Master Formula Metal Gloss after I saw a vendor turn the bottom of a soda can into a mirror. If you want the bike to pop, this stuff definitely does it. Take a look at the website and what they did to the keg.
