Default Deuce gas tank question

My 04 deuce the gas line under the front of the tank that connects both lobes rests on the engine. There is no space under there due to the design. This seems like a problem to me. Just wondering how this is configured on your bikes. There is a plastic coating like wire-loom over the fuel hose and it does not show any sign of heat damage so that's good. I tried to rotate it upward and re-tightening the clamp (replaced factory clamp) in hopes of holding it above the head with a small clearence but after riding it just touches the head again. Can you please take a look at your deuce and let me know how that fuel line is routed?

Thank you

My '05 Deuce, with origional crossover line and clamps, has about 1/16" clearance. I'm sure the outer tubing is designed to take the heat of contact with the rocker cover. You could replace it with a steel braided line if it bothers you.

Got about 1/4" on my '03. Maybe try pushing the fuel line farther on the hard tubing, might take out a bit of slack.
