Hey guys,
I currently have an 07 NT with the HD pull back risers and bar that they sell for the NT specifically for $150. I really did not care for the stock drag bar on the NT so I went with what I have now. I found a good deal on a set of Street Slammers and am considering going with those. I like the way the bars I have now feel for riding, but am not too happy with the look.
Question is, will the Slammers be more like what I have now, which I like for comfort, or more like the stock NT bars? I know the Slammers have a pull back, but they look like they may not be as comfy. Anybody have experience with them?
I was looking at that NT specific set up you have last night in the PA catalogue. Would you happen to have a picture of that set up on your Night Train?
Like you I'm not too fond of the drag bar that comes standard and after adding a Mustang seat with driver's back rest, I really need more pullback. I like the look of those streetslammers as well just a bit pricey for me right now.
I have street slammers on my train. The rise is 2" taller then the stock bars plus they pull back. They feel comfortable to me but I'm 5'6". They look great but alot of people are running these bars or something like them so if you want something unique these aint it. They do look and feel good though.
I have the same setup on my train. The stock bars just dont allow me to sit comfortably on the bike. I was looking at getting a set of aftermarket bars that are the same design but have an 8" rise and are powdered black. That's what my buddy is running on his and they're really comfortable.
OK street slammers are on the NT. Question is this. It appears that the stock cables and brake line works with the bars. The Moco wants me to pay 380 for new braided lines with these bars, but from what I can see the stockers fit with it.
Once again bike is an 07 Nightrain. Anybody have experience here. I turned the bars full to both sides and no pulling or issues that I can see.
I don't have a NT but I put streetslammers on my 08 fatty. All the stock cables will work but they are longer than they need to be. Watch your clutch cable, the extra length on it after the switch let it rub my front fender when the suspension compressed. Now I have a nice little spot I have to buff out.
Your stock clutch cable may not be as long as mine was, just something to look for that you may not have thought would matter. I didn't think of it until after the fact.
I have an 07 train and am running Street Slammers. I didn't have to change cables or wires and the wires are run internally. They are a ton more comfortable than stock NT bar and bc they're wider feels like you have better control of the bike. I've loved em so far but gonna give Apes a go as a winter project to change the look up a lil bit.
